Day 51

Gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, and raspberries: the fruits of berry-picking at Lilac Farm. We ended up with about three pounds of gorgeous berries for a fiver. Well worth the scratches, nettle stings, and sunburn!

What are you going to do with them? Make some gooseberry fool! I love it!! Yum!

I nearly made fool (yum!) but gooseberry and elderflower ice cream won out. And summer pudding with the others.

I remember picking raspberries years ago - nothing like fresh off the plants! The scratches are definitely worth it.

Hi Carol! :) Believe it or not, the raspberries were fairly tame - it was the gooseberries that had the worst thorns!
