Day 136

We went to the RHS garden at Harlow Carr this afternoon. It was gloomy and damp, but that made it wonderfully atmospheric in the arboretum. I photographed lots of little autumnal still-lifes on the forest floor.

And then we went through the gardens and found some lingering flowers. I love this luscious blue - no Photoshopping required.




An autumn crocus - the angle on this was a bit of an accident, courtesy of a stray breeze, but I like it.




A little snail found a home in this flower.

Day 9

This is the Leeds Central Library. I got my library card and checked out a book, and we had a cream tea in the cafe, which is located in the gorgeously restored Victorian tiled hall.

The building is just as spectacular inside as outside, so I couldn't resist posting some more photos.
