Day 24

Thanks to Helen, I made elderflower fritters! The flowerheads are dipped in a thin batter of self-raising flour and sparkling water, then fried. The best bit was watching them expand and puff when they hit the hot oil. They were pretty tasty, too, although I don't think I had the most flavourful blossoms. But it was fun! more...

Somebody pinch me! I can't quite believe that I'm living someplace where we can go for afternoon drives in the Yorkshire Dales. And yet that's exactly what we did.
